What do I do now. Help please

Ok so put my female n male chams together about 6 weeks ago n then two weeks ago. It's been about 5 days Now that my female is at the bottom of her cage so 2 days ago I put soil in a container about 9 inches deep n 18 inches long. She was been digging like crazy n today she is in the soil n almost looks dead. So I put my hand near her n she then got up n opened her mouth. What do I do? Please help.

Did she lay any eggs? Can you post pictures?

if she is in the soil digging.. or sitting in her tunnel, leave her alone! let her finish digging her hole, laying her eggs and covering them up. This is an all day (sometimes two day) process.

Do not disturb her. If she sees you watching her she may stop laying and abandon her hole.

right now she needs privacy

if she wasn't finished digging/laying, interrupting could cause her to become eggbound....

if she truly looks that severed, i would consider an emergency vet visit.

quite often, the laying process basically exhausts them and they need a lot of extra "support" following the process....possibly some liquid calcium, possibly a shower, some silkworms or phoenix worms or something else packed with things to replenish the system....

however, if she hasn't finished laying, and didn't finish digging and then covering up the area she was digging, you have to do everything possible to give her privacy. some of mine have started digging and then stopped overnight and resumed the next day, so i don't know what your times are for your lights and such...and i know my girls are not the "norm" (most go through the whole process without interruptions...), but when my girls have stopped for the night, i turn off the lights as usual and follow my same routine the next morning if they haven't resumed digging before i leave for work. but if she stopped because you were watching or worried about her, it is quite possible that she may not finish the task and will become eggbound.

one of mine....was interrupted and didn't resume for almost 2 days....quite nerve wracking....but again, not the norm....
