What do feed Jackson Chameleon?

Hello, I have a 3 month old Jackson Chameleon in an 18x18x36 inch screen terrarium. Right now his diet mainly consists of small crickets. I was wondering firstly, if there were any kind of worms I am able to give him at his age, assuming they're small enough. I heard meal worms aren't any good for them though, so I probably will just avoid that all together.

Next, some have recommended houseflies to me. I am currently raising young praying mantises. Since they are hatchlings, they eat small flightless fruit flies. I have a surplus of them, as I only need one or two every other day for each of the mantises. Giving several to my Chameleon would be fine in that sense, but I am nervous about leaving them in his cage for him to hunt, for several reasons. The first being he is so small in a rather large cage with quite a bit of foliage, I am not so sure he would be able to find them so easily unless they are attracted to the light at the lamp at the basking site and move up there where they would be very noticeable. And then my next concern is for them to be noticeable for him, I'd put in quite a bit of fruit flies, more than I would think he'd eat. This concerns me as I don't want them to cause a disturbance to him or harass him, him to overeat, or if they escape, to bother me lol. The fruit flies are so small, and it is a screen enclosure.

I am not sure about he fruit flies. you can order some small silk worms, they are great for them and they love them.
But, don't be surprised if your cham does not take to them right way. (some do and some don't) my Jackson would not eat anything but Crickets until he was 6 months. Just keep offering different food, they will let you know if they like it or not.

Baby superworms, silks and horns are all good. Some babies don't seem to like baby mantis. No problem putting lots of fruit flys in there either.

Along with BB and crix, i got mine to eat a butter worm today. They're good because of their high calcium content …although, i won't offer them to him all the time, as i've noticed when i feed them to both my other chams and my turtles, they pass out in the stool only partially digested; so i assume they're rather hard to digest for whatever reason.
