What Chameleon is this? (quite urgant!)

My uncle recently brought a chameleon off of a friend but isn't sure what species it is. Could somebody please help identify him/her. Thanks

The range of Panther Chameleons in Madagascar is quite large and depending on where the original parents or ancestors of that specimen were collected from is their "locality". While there are some subtle differences in care for each locality of pardalis, husbandry is pretty much the same for all localities if you happen to be looking for a caresheet.

This explains locality quite well: http://www.chameleoncompany.com/locales.php

Tell your Uncle that the Waterfall needs to go ASAP... Let us know if he needs any other help getting everything setup for this guy.

everyone is always hating on waterfalls, I use them fine and if you have them in a high place I'd imagine you could too, i'm not that special

and as for that guy, to me he looks JUST like Southpaw

Good call Dank....Spitting image of SouthPaw.

as for the waterfalls ...

Well Dank... I would have to say that yours chams would have a lot higher risk of ingesting some nasty bacteria, People hate on them for a reason... not because we don't like the look of them or something. I'm not going to say that it can't be done... Just shouldn't unless you are willing to sanitize that thing constantly, and most people wouldn't do it as much as would be needed. Shoot I used to keep a cham under a compact coil flourecent bulb without any issues. Just because I hadn't seen any problems arise from it did not make it the best option. I am glad somebody filled me in on the problems that could arise from using such a light. You can do a lot of stuff wrong without seeing any immediate issues... But after the "Fecal Hits the fan" it is too late... Now you have to deal with vet bills and a sick Cham when you could have taken preventative action in the first place to keep it from ever happening. There... Have 2 cents! :D Edit: No aggression meant my friend...

Edit: Dank you said "If you keep them in a high place", You mean the waterfall? I would imagine even without being crapped in could still harbor some microbial critters

Yeah I think i'm going to have a little talk with him and make sure he knows exactly what needs to be done because I know from my experience(with my veiled and two pygmys) That chameleon care is quite specific and needs to be followed. thanks alot guys
