Led Zeppelin - 10 Years Gone…
A classic Nas sample:
I have had issue's with AI too that get my blood pumping. When I am writing emails there is an AI that tries to write my emails for me. The AI response is a waste of time and heats me since I have to take time to erase the AI response. I think AI and some technologies are way overdone.Music threads like this may seem silly to some ( or many), but music is very important to so many people. I love sharing the music that shaped so many memories and moments for me. With that being said, I had a very negative music moment the other day.
As you may know, I love blues, and specifically blues that rocks! I decided to do just a simple search for a blues playlist on YouTube because I just didn’t know what I wanted to listen to. I chose one at random and started listening. I remember thinking the guitar in the first two songs sounded great, but a bit too perfect for blues. 3 songs in, I was really enjoying a song and my wife asked “Who sings this.” I must admit, I didn’t know. I started searching for a linked playlist but didn’t find one so I searched the internet for the lyrics I heard and tried to figure it out. No luck. I thought it was Eric Gales but I couldn’t place it.
I started reading the YouTube comments as there was no playlist listed in the description. I saw one post stating the playlist was AI. I kept reading. Tons of comments about how great a song was or the entire playlist. “Who sings this?”, ”Please do a playlist”, etc. Another post saying AI…
The “What song is this” Apps couldn’t figure it out. No one had an answer. Could it be???
A friggin’ I
I was pissed. There was one hour + of fake shit on a playlist. Then I saw a few more. Some idiot with Chat GPT or whatever entered a few parameters and “tadah” - you have a dozen songs. That’s not music. That’s not talent. That’s not the future of music that I want.
