What Am I Looking?

Hi all! I’m new to chameleons and the forum, but have been researching them a long time. I was in my local Petco this evening and I went by the reptiles to see what they had. There was a veiled chameleon that was a little older than the itty bitty ones. It appears to be a female as I didn’t see tarsal spurs…but I’m no expert. I’d I’m wrong, please educate me.

Ok so this little one comes up to the glass every time I go back and stand there. It appears very active on the bottom of the enclosure and was glass surfing when I stood there. Aside from the environment not correct the only other thing I could think of was out needs enrichment. The other thing I thought was that it looks bloated. Maybe edema? I am curious what others think.

Thanks for your thoughts in advance.

Female... Looks to be about 5-6 ish months old. Very stressed which you can tell by her pattern of spots. Could be slight edema around the throat. Hard to tell with just these pics. But the first pic looks like it unless she was puffing out. Again hard to tell from this angle. Edema with incorrect supplementation is pretty common with big box stores. Limbs look straight so not seeing visible signs of MBD.
