Crickets, Supers & used to be Dubia for chow. What about grasshoppers? They are green and have read that most chams like green colored insects. Could be wrong but has anyone else had good luck with grasshoppers?

they are a good treat but be careful with wild caught's as they can have parasites and make sure they haven't been in any areas that have had pesticides sprayed:D

Yes. Catch a bunch! They will eat oranges and greens. They have extremely powerfull grip due to there back feet though. I cut them off at the knee. ;)

I dont do it to crickets. When I tried to feed the hoppers my jackson couldnt pull them off of sticks, and especially screen! So I grabbed some scissors! Its fairly easy surgery once you get a technique down:p

it just POPS right off like nothing but ya they can hurt there tounges trying to pull on something with that much force pulling back.

I catch grasshoppers every summer (desite the modest parasite risk) - they are a good feeder choice.
you can easily break one of the two hind legs with a squeeze of your fingers/fingernail if you are concerned

i\ had\ read\ that\ grass\ hopers\ hind\ legg\ barbs\ also\ can\ rip\ the\ lineing\ of\ a\ chams\ throat\ and\ stomic.\ so\ id\ say\ remove\ them.\ in\ august\ my\ cham\ was\ pulled\ off\ a\ flat\ surface\ while\ trying\ to\ get\ a\ grass\ hoper\ off\ the\ screen\ 6mesh\ walls\ of\ his\ enclosure.

you can in the UK (Locust), but not usually in Canada, Probably not in the USA
