Well, it's the morning after....

Hope you feel better soon, do the rehab and take it easy......my husband Steve, played pro football and has had 3 total knee replacements in the past 10 years, he had over 12 arthroscopic surgeries before that, he knows what you're going through and he says the rehab and strengthening along with weight management is the best thing to do to keep from having to have the replacement in the future.....best of luck to you Lisa.

Thank you Sherri! As soon as I get started on some rehab I'm going to work on my overall physical condition... This hasn't been fun at all!
Thanks for the advice!!! Lisa. :)

Well, I took the bandages off today! My knee is swollen and there are two holes in the front of it with stitches. It feels good to get that bulky dressing off but a little scary, like my knee is going to fall apart, guess the bandage was kind like a security blanket!
I've been using crutches and trying to put a little weight on the leg, it's not hurting as bad as yesterday!! Maybe I'm going to make it!!!!! ;)

You're lucky! Mine had three holes andno stitches. Lets just say a mad ton of blood had soaked through and scared me.
If your up to it, try bending it a bit, just to get it going.
Ice ice and ice.

The bandage was bloody but it was old blood nothing fresh. I'm to scared right now to try to bend it..... Im scared the stitches might pop... Maybe tomorrow.

Here's a pic....

They prob wont pop.but you are super swollen.

Mine were in what I call the corners of the knee. If you draw a box around the knee cap it was in the upper two and outer corner.

What did you do to cause the damage?

Oh my, bless your heart! Loving the sponge bob band aids! :D
You will back to normal in no time!

Yeah, the swelling makes it look even uglier.... It's super sore too, no bending until tomorrow, I just can't bring myself to do it yet.

About 7 months ago I twisted it, I felt it and knew I'd done something but I figured it was just a sprain so I didn't go to see about it until a month ago..
The turn was something I had done 1000 times before with no issue, guess things were just lined up wrong that time....

I'm keeping it iced and elevated for now with minimal walking and then using crutches when I do get up...

Thanks for all the insight!!! Lisa
