good news is i picked up a bearded dragon today.

bad news is that i went to another pet store today toget some crickets for my cham and i saw 4 pygmys 2 veils and a Senegal in really poor shape....

the pygmys are in a glass terrarium as are the 2 veileds last time i was there there was 3 veiled but one of them had died.. which sucks cause i watched that one grow up sense it it first got there.

the Senegal which what i think they are called was sleeping during the day time. which of course as all people know is a sign that something is wrong with them. sucks that people cant take the 30 mins it takes to learn what u need to take care of the animals that u take under your care. such a same.

here are a couple pictures of what there cages look like.

Yeah they don't look good. If you buy them, on one hand - you are rescuing them from sure death, on the other hand - you're supporting a parasitic pet store trade that routinely under-cares for chameleons and is likely responsible for many dead chameleons. If you buy those, they'll just buy more. Quite the dilemma.

im not gonna buy them i want to but i know that it wont help the i going to talk to the owner tomorrow cause that just breaks my heart that they have to be like that. its just sad they dont need that much its not that hard i have a graceful cham and hes doing awesome he has a waterfall with a fogger a dripper 3 plants and i take him outside for at least 2 hours a day when its sunny and hot and i mist him 2 times a day for 2 mins cause its 85-90% humidity . they could at least provide them with what they need. having them in their shop makes them their owners funny thing is they have on the cages research the animal before u but it.. what a load

For the record...
Most people keep pygmies in glass cages...

On that though, they all dont look good, and the set ups stink.

Where was this and what shop, I'm after pygmys and I would be able to give them a much better home before its to late

Sure the enclosures and set-ups are simple (some of you would be mortified at my quarantine or baby bins then) but the animals, apart from the WC Senegal, look healthy. In fact those pygmies look CB; I don’t see a scratch on them. Just because they are in a pet store doesn’t mean they are unhealthy.

Now that i see the photos on a computer...

The pygmies actually look amazing...

and the veiled pics are out of focus.. so cant say for sure.

But i change my opinion and agree with trace.

they dont look half bad.

i only got one of the veiled the other one doesn't look very good and those pygmys look good but those just came in there were others in there before and they got new ones.

I have come to the conclusion to never enter a pet store that sells reptiles,
I now feel like an axx becuase I didnt save a 2 month old Veiled for $45.
He was very skinny and also dehydrated, also had his tail slammed into some sort of door to cause damage.
The worst part about it is I have never seen a Veiled show vibrant colors at such a young age.
