well, another first for Splat

Hi everyone,

first off, let me just say that my guy Splat has always hated getting wet.
he just never liked water.
even on the first morning that I had him, he didn't even want to move, never mind drink...and look what happened when I sprayed his tail.

nope, this guy hates water.
he even normaly waits to see me put down the misting bottle first before even thinking of starting to drink.

well, yesterday, he couldn't care less about getting wet as long as I would keep spraying water at him.
I desided to get my camera and he met me half way by walking to the front of the cage just begging for some more.

this is the first time Splat has ever drank from the misting bottle...

My female deremensis loves drinking right from the bottle also. I usually drip it right in front of her.

Awww! He's so cute! I love it when they clean their eyes, lol! Tommy enjoys his mistings now too. It's nice to know they are drinking at least something!

Splat is so full of color, he is lovely. It was fun watching him drink but how did you film & spray? You did a good job I just don't know how. Could have done without the sofa shot, I get that enough around here from Arnold.

it's not easy holding a camera in one hand and misting in the other, all while trying to pay attention to Splat.
I realy wana try and shoot a video of little Laurie drinking (she only shoots at droplets)...it's so funny.
but sadly, I would have to shoot a video of her with the cage door closed or she will run out insted of drinking.

you have no idea how hard it is to feed her...
she runsd out, I get her on my hand, I then dump her crickets out into the cage, then I aim her face inside the cage and she shoots the crickets while she is still on my hand.
