WEIRD THING IN ENCLOSURE

Hi everyone!

Im having a nightmare at the moment. I had some vines in my enclosure and my Cham scratched his feet badly so I cut up the spare log I had and removed the vines (see the below)

He’s now started shedding on his legs but to ensure the humidity is high I have had my humidifier on a lot more last night.

This has now led to a bit of mold appearing all along the bottom.

HOWEVER, when I’ve been having a nosy I have spotted this worm like creature. What the hell is this?

Im also worried that my clean up crew aren’t surviving of getting the job done. Can anyone please advise

Not sure what that is.... But do not increase humidity due to shedding. They are dry shedders so you keep and maintain all their levels rather than going above and beyond on your recommended levels day/night.

Might try a bug app to see if it pulls up what that may be. I know they have them for plants I am sure they have them for insects.

Ahhhh okay, I was worried as he’s fully grown now unlike last time. Last time he shedding everything all at once relatively quick and with this been slower I was worried the humidity needed to be higher to help.

That’s a great shout. I’m worried it’s some sort of parasite but I don’t know where it could have come from

It could just have come out of your dirt... Or your branches...

But yeah no adjustments for humidity when shedding. Keep it within the normal daytime and night time ranges. Shedding is not as quick when they are mature vs when they are babies and bust out of their shed. They start to shed more in sections as well when mature rather than a full body shed.
