Weird question

Now you know you have to much time, when you are on the forums asking about your chameleons poop but here goes...


Whenever my chameleon poops there's always the poop and then the urate (sp), and thats all fine and good but then there's always a second poop with it.

And I just wanted to make sure that doesn't mean I'm over feeding him?.

so you mean, poop, urate, poop? or poop, poop, urate? lol!! Sometimes my chameleon poops two brown ones and then the urate. They are all attached though, but the poop looks like it is seperated almost. how much are you feeding by the way?

Ya the poop and urate are attached but then there's a second poop on the side not attached.

He was eating about 20-25 xtra small crickets a day an some wax and meal worms every so often. But now I moved to small crickets ( about twice the size) and he eats about 10ish a day

oh I see what you are saying. Yes, I have seen that also where there is a little poop detached and then the regular poop. i don't think that is anything to worry about. How old is your chameleon now?

I got him at the end of august and they said he was 3-4 months old so I'd say pushing 4-5 months. I can post a pic if that helps. I love any excuse to show him off

well it really depends on the size. At 4 months I was feeding probably 15-20 1/4 inch crickets. They were pretty small though. You are adding other feeders too, so you should be fine. oh and pics...we love pics!!! Sure, post a pic! If you got him from a breeder, then most likely they hatched him out and should know the exact age. Now the pet store, that is a different story!

Ya i bought him from a small local pet store =x so any insight on how old you think he is would be great

The first picture I took a couple days ago, and the second I just tried to take one, but he wasn't in a very photogentic mood. haha
