Weird marks on female veiled lately

Lol my boyfriend was actually getting a little frustrated yesterday saying "Are you sure she's even gravid?!?! That's what they told us before!!!" (when we first got Lily I introduced her on here and everyone thought she was gravid then, but I think she was just fat lol the guy we got her from fed her 3 dozen crickets a day apparently) But I kept saying "Look at her colours!!" and so it has been a little frustrating because we haven't even seen her near the bottom of her tank!! Until today. lol I just checked on her about 2 hours ago and there she was on the floor of her tank, BESIDE her lay bin...ugh.

I hope she likes her lay bin and everything goes well. According to her previous owner she has never laid eggs, so this will be her first time which makes me even more nervous. Is that normal? She's about 3 months away from 2 years and is laying eggs for the first time.

Still nothing but she's definitely looking...saw her on the bottom of her tank again last night! Why won't she go in her lay bin?

Does she have an easy way in? just give her privacy. Have read over and over on here that they won't lay if you watch them. Put something to cover the bottom half and don't let her see you watching. Hopefully she'll find it soon.

I have her whole tank covered and she's in a private room. yeah I think she should be able to get in and out easily. If she isn't in it when I get home I'll take a picture of the enclosure with the lay bin so you guys can let me know what you think! This morning she was still nice and bright and was basking away..but when should I begin to worry about egg-binding? Will she go really dark? Stop moving around or something?

If she's still eating and you don't see any digging or scratching around then there's no need to worry about egg-binding yet.......
My girl stops eating for several days and looks around in all the wrong places before she finds a 'suitable' spot to lay in
Then I get worried and put her only in the lay bin so she can't get out until she finally does the business (like it suggests in Jannbs blog).

Okay she still eats a bit, but lately in the evenings she has definitely been looking, just the past few nights though (that I've noticed) but always on the ground beside the lay bin. Yesterday I turned the bin on an angle though so there is hardly any room down beside it so hopefully she will go in the bin instead, we'll see!

Put a branch in the middle or on the side of the bin (inside the bin) towards the top of the cage near branches so she can easily climb down.

I went upstairs to check on her when I got home and she was just basking so I re-wet the sand because it was a bit dry I think, you could still make a tunnel but it didn't hold as well. Then I went downstairs to look for the camera to take a pic for you guys then went back up and she was in the bin!! So I just left her alone obviously and I'm going to make sure nobody goes in the room. She has two fake bamboo sticks coming out of the lay bin and there's a fake plant right where the bamboo enters the sand (because I think I read that they like to lay near the base of a plant?).

Fingers crossed!!!! This is her first time laying, and I'm new with chams, so I'm so nervous for her!!! Will she need any special attention after laying? I'm assuming I should increase her calcium for a week or two?

As much food and water as she wants and give her calcium with every feeding.

No if she is digging a hole she will sleep in it when the lights go out. Just keep a normal schedule.

I might agree with your boyfriend and I’m going to put this out there for consideration. Those colours in your first post do not look like gravid ones to me. Usually the gravid colours on Veileds tend to have a darker background with orange spots while the receptive colours are robin egg blue spots. I am, however, concerned about those odd raised white spots just under her spine. Those don’t look like typical egg bumps to me so were those ever diagnosed? Could she be roaming the cage and going to the bottom because she is looking for a mate? Could she be laying on the bottom of the enclosure because she is becoming sick (maybe because of those bumps?) or maybe because she is too hot and not, in fact, gravid? Is she digging now?

I think, at this point, a few updated pictures of your pet would be the best thing then maybe we could give you better or differing advice.

Here are some pics I just took 5 minutes ago, she is a little dark though because she does NOT like the camera lol and as you can see she is not digging...and no sign that she was digging...ugh.

Haha, she's a grumpy girl Looks like she's gravid to me, but there's still something a bit funny going on with the skin there.....do chams get stretch marks?
My girl didn't show 'typical' gravid colours either and kept a similar colour scheme while she was gravid.

What marks are you guys talking about anyway?? The white lines and circles? The weird greyish circles/blotches?

If possible, I would bring her to a reptile vet for an Xray to see what's going on. If they are not eggs, they could be tumors She looks excruciatingly fat sorry. I can't remember if you said how much you were feeding her. But yeah definitely a vet check to see what's going on inside that pudgy belly of hers If you need payment assistance I have found care credit to be very useful. I have a card for my animals.
