i noticed my female peacock crawling on the bottom of her cage last week. I placed a container on the bottom 12x12x3 with coconut fiber. See was seen digging away this week and lo and behold, i found 8 beautiful eggs. i moved them carefuly to a container with perlite and water at room temp (72)). Hope to have some babies by April. I cant wait.

FYI, I hatched this species in about 4 months, keeping the eggs under 74F. That whole complex has much shorter incubation times so you'd probably want to start checking them often by February.

Congratulations on the eggs! My wiedersheimi have usually hatched at the five month mark with temps between 68 - 72F, 74F should be the absolute maximum temp. The babies are a little fragile for the first couple of weeks, but are actually pretty sturdy little characters.

Nice photos, Dean!
