We got SNOW!!!

The UK had been predicted a heavy snowfall overnight and into the early hours of this morning! Well, for once the forecasters got it bang on! I was out with my camera this morning on one of my favourite walks!

I hate snow - well, not so much the snow- but the -5 weather we are getting this weekend !! but, your pics/ are so pretty- maybe if our snow was pretty like yours, instead of snow on the corn & bean fields I would like it better

Thanks everyone! We don't oftenget a lot of snow, so it is lovely when it arrives! I'm just like a big kid, as long as I don't have to drive in it! These were taken along one of our favoruite walks - a river that runs just a few minutes walk away. Next time we get some snow I will climb up the steep hill righ to the top of the old chalk pit that overlooks my town and take some pics from up there! Was going to do that today, but it has turned rather slushy already and is starting to thaw.

its great when it lasts for 3 days or so any longer would just piss you off though.it started snowing here in the north and midlands on thursday.and my part started getting bit last night.had to stock up today i live up the mountain if i get snow im on house arrest

Well, the snow is still laying on the grass but has mostly gone from the paths and roads now. I still had enough snow today to build a snowtortoise, lol! I was gonna build a snowman, but the snow was too icy and wouldn't roll along and stick together.

We have had some more flurries of snow today and i did manage to get some shots of a few snowflakes! They are so pretty!

Wow! Fantastic! I would LOVE a white Christmas but it very rarely happens in the UK. We tend to get snow either a few weeks before or a week or so after! Even had snow at the beginning of April a few years back!
