Waxworms

How fast do Waxworms molt? I am tired of my veiled not eating them because they are dormant and not moving (from being refrigerated).

Also, how can you raise Waxworms?

Take them out the fridge about an hour b4 feeding . Once they warm up they become more active and move about quite a bit. I do this with butterworms too. My Chams are just not interested in them for some reason.(they will pick off 1 or 2 , then leave the rest.)

From what I have heard, waxworms are high in fat and should only be fed as a treat. Because of this I don't see the pros of raising your own.

Hornworms or Silkworms are a better option I you want to tackle breeding a worm/moth type feeder

Maybe your refrigerator is just too cold.. I keep mine in a wine cooler and they are awake and active within 2 mins of being out. I just fill their cup with oatmeal and I don't have a problem with mine at all, Ive had them for almost a month now
