waxworms and mealworms?

I just bought my 10 month old female chameleon panther a few waxworms and mealworms from petco. As of now, I've just been feeding her gut loaded crickets. How do I keep them? How often should I feed them to her, if at all? And is there any specific way to load them? Also recommendations on any other feeders would be helpful.

For other feeders, I suggest calciworms (also known as pheonix worms) they can be fed daily, can be bought at petco, live in their own food ( i think) and when left alone, will grow into soldier flies, which when let loose in the cham cage, keeps them active (we dont want lazy chams do we?)
Dubia roaches are good daily feeders.
Locusts (though not sure where you would get any)

yea mealworms and waxworms don't make good staples but are good in a pinch. i store mine in the fridge. not sure bout food for the waxworms, but every few days i'll take the mealys out, let them warm up and put a slice of apple or carrot in their container. after bout 30 min i'll remove wats left and pop em back in the fridge. as for other feeders, im a big fan of silkworms and butterworms. butterworms can be stored in the fridge for months with minimal loss, they don't need to be fed, and they have the highest calcium content of any other feeder insect. that being said, they are a little on the fatty side so don't feed them too liberally. silkworms can be a little difficult to get your hands on and they can only be sustained on mulberry leaves but they are fairly nutritious and my cham loooves them :)

I feed my chams horn worms, silk worms, wax worms and butter worms. I'm trying to breed silk worms now it's been pretty easy so far. I try and offer 2 diffrent types of worms every day along with crickets and my pather seems to love it. When i open the cage he clims out onto my hand to get his worms I'm hoping he will get in a habbit of coming out when I offer my hand. i'm trying to make him friendly and get him to want to be held. He is about 4 months now and he seems to be ok with me holding him. I reward him when he comes out with no fight either with worms or going out side in the sun.

You may find this blog entry (which lists all the most common feeders with info about each) of interest:

I do not recommend using waxworms.
