Wax worms & Butterworms

How does everyone feed off there worms? They dont like to stay on the branches and my cham doesnt cup feed. or hand feed for that matter.

Any tips and tricks out there?

It depends, on the chams. My red bar and Sambava both tong feed and hand feed but wont eat out of a dish. I have other chams that will only eat out of a dish. My best recommendation is to experiment. Just be careful on how many you feed them since they are treats.

I place them on a leaf or vine in the chameleons view.

healthy butterworms will crawl up vines and tree branches.

waxworms are crap so I dont offer them.

Use a large green or brown bowl and your chameleon WILL "cup" feed (its the same as if the prey were walking on the ground or on a large log)

Silk worms stay on leaves and they wriggle

Great advice, I am just starting to try to cup feed my graceful today. Hopefully it works well.

My panther is starting to go on hunger strikes for wax worms lol...

Usually he eats them right away if i set them on a jungle vine. The waxworms seem to hang on that pretty well.

Also he eats them from my hand if i hold the end of the waxworm and let it squirm around. I noticed it has to be below eye level for Jasper to get it.

Pretty much patience is key!
