water crystals?

So I just bought a starter dubia colony from maxttu (awesome price, thanks again for the hook-up) my question is, to use water crystals or not to hydrate them. If so any recomendations on where to get them? My local pet store only carries those orange cubes.

I also got my starter colony from maxttu.

Fluker's products are CRAP.

I would stay away from water crystals, because of complicated things happening with the feeders holding them in their mouth, the cham eats it, and it expands and kills the cham inside. Not good. So I just use moist foods like oranges, apples, carrots, and yams for a water source.

glad I posted the question, didnt think about that. Thanks

Your welcome :) I learned that as well after I had been using them for a while... it is sort of a worst case scenario but I figure it's good to stay on the safe side. Good luck with the dubias! I have a blog on breeding them if you are interested...

I just checked it out, I need to go get a tub cause I planned on using a tank, until I read they can climb the caulk. I bought a undertank reptile heater for that tank for the heat sorce. will that work on a tub or do you have another suggestion?

That should work fine.
