Water crystal question

hi at NARBC yesterday i bought a small pack of water crystals i put some of the crystals in a bowl of water and its not growing and after reading this thread - https://www.chameleonforums.com/warning-water-crystals-21442/ - im kinda scared about feeding a dry crystal to a cricket feedback would be helpful

How long has the crystal been in the water? I usually put a few dozen in a gallon ziplock of water and they grow to about the size of a marble and then I use them as needed.

WHOA! i just checked on it...and they all clumped together and have become huge! should i still wait to make sure their fully grown?

if you got them from ryan one the small bags he said to put half the small bag in a gallon of distilled water and then wait overnite
