i was hoping someone could help me out. i got this guy from a reptile show a month ago, the vendor said it was a male sambava x ambilobe, i sexed and it looks like a male, but no real coloration, mostly gray, white and black, with a hint of green around the eye. i have had other chameleons, but this is my first panther and i am really excited, just want to be sure of what it is. it is about 3 inches nose to vent, so hoping that can help with finding out the age, vendor said 3 months, but again, i'm not too sure.

If it is a 3 month old male then you wouldn't see to much coloration till it gets much older. You pretty much described my 2 1/2 month old male ambilobe. Post some pictures and I'm sure someone will be able to identify sex and age.

Edit: nvm on the pics, it looks about 3 months old male to me. Might want to take a closer picture of it's tail/vent area for a more accurate guess on the sex.

again: New picture isn't showing bulge. I change my guess to female now :)

i took a look and saw that he does have a decent size bulge, but u cannot see in those pic, so i feel assured he is a male in fact. ty for the help, it's appreciated
