Waldo is a young chameleon that my friend aquired with another chameleon. We believe he is the male and she died. He told me it is a veiled chameleon. I will post pictures and ask if he is right?
I am just now learning about what it takes to care for chameleons, after successfully care for other reptiles(snakes and turtles) so I understand to somewhat about reptiles.

I have built a 2ft by 2ft by 3ft high encloser out of coated wire mesh and small lumber and set up a drip system out with a live pothos. Got rid of chemicals and all that. He just graduated to larger crickets. Is more than one too many a day? Also what other options of food should i give him?

As far as lighting, i keep one 5.0 26w reptiglo uvb bulb on during the day and a heat lamp on all day long.
If i could get some tips on anything i may be missing for him or could add that he would enjoy i would really appreciate it! Thank you all in advance!

yup its a veiled cant tell what the sex is from those pics, can you post a pic of the back feet their should be a little bumb above the foot if its a male, nice setup, needs more plants and vines tho

you need to fill up that cage with vines and branches for him to walk on along with other plants. One cricket a day is not enough! He is very small and should be eating about 20, yes 20 1/4 inch crickets a day. I don't know what you mean by large but he should not be eating full sized crickets. what about gutloading of feeders, supplements, temps and humidity? All these are important and vital to the health of your chameleon. Some other feeder choices are dubia roaches, silkworms, superworms, hornworms, butterworms, moths etc Welcome to chameleon ownership!!!

Thank you for your help!

Any more suggestions?

P.S. I will add a picture of the backs of its feet soon. and btw, my friend chose the name. he just asked me to keep it the same @.@
