Waking up early

Ok, I am up at 5am and for the past 3 weeks Karma was fine sleeping until 7am. Then we would slowly turn on her lights.

This week, she has started waking up at 5am when I get up and moving around.

Should I ignore it and wait until her normal time for her lights?

OR

Should I turn on her lights this early?

I dont want to mess up her cycle but......

sorry, i dont actually have any advice for you but thought that i would share. My Carmie is kinda in the same situation, i used to cycle her lights from 8 till 8 but noticed she wakes up quite early and is ready for bed early too, sometimes even falling asleep before lights out. Now she is 7 till 7 and it seems to be a bit better. I would set it from 6 till 6 but i dont get home from work till 5 and like to see her awake for a bit. I dont think changing your light cycle times will hurt her if she is already awake earlier anyways jmo.

how old is Karma? Type? Karma was the name that we originally called our female veiled but it kinda got changed to Carmie.

She is a female veiled and we "think" about 18 mo. old.
We got her off craigslist and guy said 1 yr in ad but by the time we got there to look at her, he had been thinking and figured more like 18 mo. He bought her from a guy that said she was 9 mo. and they had her for about 8-9 mo.

She normally is up at 7 like I said and goes to bed about 7:30-8.
Yesterday she started this up with me thing and was snuggling her branch by 6pm but still awake.
I had to take son to a class and didnt get home until 8:20, hubby still had her lights on but she was sound asleep.

This morning I got up at 5, fed cat and made coffee and then laid on couch until hubby got up at 5:30 and noticed she was moved up partway to her basking branch then.

I try to ignore her and not talk to her, in hopes that she will relax and go back to sleep but that doesnt work!LOL

Drapes/curtains is the answer dark terrarium crurtins... or make sure that there is no light that is getting in the room that you keep your chams .
