Very nice I wish I was able to design and make a cage like that. It seems like decorating and making your Cham be happy with his little home is like art ,it's not easy it's like an art and takes skill that YOU definitely have lol.
:)

Thanks Mellow. I asked forum members to post pics of their enclosures which gave me some great ideas. :D

I tried to cup feed Moody this evening but he just ignored it. Hopefully he would be settled and start eating again very soon.

Any advises on how to cup feed a cham successfully?

Cute little guy, I like your enclosure. The added thought to include a stick to climb back up to the main structure as well as other features show some research and consideration for your guy.

I elevated my feeding dish to about halfway up the structure to be seen from his basking position, while he was little. I felt I could keep better track of his intake. In addition, sheltering it from the spray of the misters will keep the power on the feeders longer and keep them from drowning.

If you haven't had one before it's a great experience watching them grow into adults. Take lots of pictures and post here for all to enjoy!

Thank you guys.

Moody is my first chameleon and my wife loves him very much. :)

I picked him up today from Chroma Chameleons (sponsor breeder in this forum). The owner is a very nice & friendly guy, and he showed us his cham collections. :D

are you cup feeding him? his enclosure looks awful big. i have a 8 week old and at the moment he's in a 10 gallon tank but i am looking to get him a screened enclosure and have been debating about what size to get.

Congrats on the new cham! My only suggestion is to make sure his heat lamp is about 8 inches off the top of the screen. Young chams can climb on the screen and if he decides to hang under the heat lamp he may get burned. Again, congrats on the new pet!:D

I am trying to give Moody a cup feed training again today. Would it be easier to have him out of the cage and bring him towards the cup with crickets?

Yes, I do believe this cage is a bit bigger to him in the mean time. He just explored the upper half of it and he is sleeping on the artificial vine. So cute! :)

I am using a 40W light bulb for the time being and he hasn't hung himself upside down on the top screen yet. I already take 3 days off to stay home and closely monitor the temp and humidity. :D

I don't really know what went wrong...

He refused to eat since last Saturday and was inactive. Always resting around the basking lamp and body colour was dark with his eyes closed sometimes. His condition was getting worst on Sunday and he just closed his eyes all the time. I brought him back to breeder in Sunday afternoon and he passed away last night.

He looked like having edema around his throat as breeder noticed. Any idea what causing this?
