Vol'Jin has been with us for a couple of weeks. Sorry the picture is HUGE so I can't just embed it and I don't have my phone with me (it's lost somewhere in the house)
I live in upstate NY (about an hour north of Syracuse) and our Petco rarely get's any reptiles in except between June and September because they can't use breeders that are too far away, it's entirely too cold to ship them. I've had bearded dragons, horned mountain lizards, and leopard gecko's. I actually had been eyeballing a steepe runner (living in NY it's a pita to keep humidity up so desert types are a little better to keep. The heating we use here (and are still using since it isn't getting any warmer than 50 >.< ) dries everything up.
Well I saw a group of 3 males and this one caught my eye. He was hanging upside down by his hind legs and was kind of doing sit ups. When I went back the next day I wanted to hold him and he was super aggressive towards the petco lady, but I took him and he climbed up my shoulder and just chilled there. I asked if I could browse the store with him and bring him back when I was done, the entire time he was just sitting there enjoying the ride. So I bought his enclosure and a humidifier went home and setup his enclosure, went back and picked him up for $30.
He's eating crickets like crazy but he doesn't touch meal worms or super worms. I've gotten him to eat a meal worm one time out of my hand. I haven't seen him drink in the 3 weeks we've had him but he's already gone through one shed. He's about 11 weeks now.
