Violin?

Hey guys, just wondering if you guys new if it was okay to play the violin in the same room as my 4month old panther chameleon, can he even hear the sound of it? Thanks!!

It doesn't bother them at all because they don't have ears. You could scream at its face and it shouldn't mind

This is not true. If you search threads for can chameleons hear you will see Chris Anderson stating in each one that they do have a functional ear and can hear sound, but it is limited hearing.

Chameleons do have limited hearing, but playing the violin will be perfectly safe for your Cham.

is it ok to play the Violin? that depends on how good your Skills are on it, Beginner then it's never good for anyone or anything to hear, Expert then ok

This is really what we need to know I think...

Everything I've read, on here at least, is that they don't have hearing in the way we would normally think of it, but rather they can hear hear/feel the vibrations of deeper bass sounds. The trouble is this doesn't help to figure out what frequency range and amplitude will bother them.

I'm in the same boat as Anniel with my guitars. While I'm confident my acoustic guitar is fine around him, I haven’t touched my electric guitars since I got my cham.

Interesting for sure. Hope somebody has a little more knowledge on this...
