I was just wondering. How much is a vet visit? Specifically how much is it to get the feces examined for parasites?

It depends on your vet. My vet charges $32 for an office visit and $15.00 for fecal float. Sometimes he doesn't even charge me for fecals. He is super reasonable. When I had to put my chameleon down he did not even charge me for the euthanasia.

What vet do you go to?

When I go down to Marathon to the reptile specialist it's $65.00 for an office visit and it's like $20 or $25 for a fecal. The prices aren't bad at all for a specialist considering there are only 12 reptile specialist in the world.

that is also what my vet charges - but he is THE BEST :D - just saw him Thurs/ with 3 chams :)

Holy smokes am I paying too much? I pay 39.00 for a general check up and 42.00 for a fecal here in Cali.

I believe my regular exam is $60 and a fecal is $30. Emergency is $115 I think. Some of the other vets charge a LOT more though. One was $120 for a regular exam and $180 for emergency and $70 for a fecal!

When I had to have my veileds tongue amputated at my regular vets (as an emergency exam) all the meds, surgery, and a staying there for a day costed me just over $500. I think that is pretty reasonable personally.

In NW PA, I paid $40 for an office visit and $20 for a small needle aspiration to test Chloe's abscesses. Her surgery to clean out 3 abscesses, remove a growth in her mouth and antibiotics afterwards came to $130.
