vet friday

thanks

ok just didnt know cause i have 2 smaller screen cages i was going to just put their ficus in there and take them

ive done that to.. but, i think overall it would be a better option to take the box route.. more then likley the chameleon will fall asleep= no stress..

i would put them in a box with a small towel in it for them to climb onto. dont know about a screen cage, most likely there will be other animals in the waiting room, dogs, cats etc. could freak em out. Its a real bad idea to put them in there with a tree. the tree could move back and forth in the car squishing them up against the cage.

Shoe box, hand towel, chameleon, some tape, (and if you are the only one in the car) seat belt. You are set. I have driven to the vet for 1 hour several times now in this situation.

Dont use the screen cage. As someone said there will be all kinds of scary stuff in the vets office for a poor little cham to see. Dark box with a towel is the perfect solution. Just make sure there are air holes of some kind and the biggest thing, watch where you put the box. Make sure the sun isn't beating down on it while you are driving.
