Very poorly

Hi a just a quick background. I have a male chameleon 5 years old never had a problem with him health wise. He is called Hugo I'll upload a pic.
So I was I my local fish shop on monday and saw a very poorly looking chameleon laying I the bottom of a fish tank with just a heat bulb. After talking to the owner of the shop the cham had been left outside the shop In a shoebox the previous week. The owner said I could just take it as he thought is was going to die anyway and he was not a reptile specialist or rescue. I took the chameleon home.
I'm rather concerned and the earliest the vet can see him is next week. I'm just looking for some advice to get him through the next few days. I'm certain he has Mbd due to his total lethargy, inability to hold his weight and deformed limbs. I'm also concerned about an injury to his tail, a burn I suspect. It was filled with sand I'm guessing from previous substrate. I have washed it out with saline solution and got out most of the the sand but not sure if I should apply any sort of antiseptic. He also seems to have an issue with one of his eyes. It was caked in sand it when I brought him home I gently bathed it with warm water and the sand came away but the eye looks different.
I have housed the newly named negan in a mesh topped vivarium 2 foot tall and 18 inches wide with a 5.0 uvb strip light and 60 watt heat lamp above the viv.
He is willing taking water several times a day via a syringe and accepting morio worms and locust by tongs daily which I have dusted in calcium.
Can anyone advise me of anything else I can do for this poor little guy, until i can get him to the vet. I'm just so sick that Someone has actually let this happen and so worried about him. To be honest he has improved in the last couple of days I have had him.
Many thanks x the first pic is of Hugo, the rest are of the poorly new one.
