Compact lights can cause eye problems.

Your supplement schedule needs to be changed....its recommended that you dust at most feedings with a phos.-free calcium powder, twice a month with a phos.-free calcium/D3 powder and twice a month with a vitamin powder with a beta carotene source of vitamin A.

The tongue looks fine to me....but he should be able to shoot his tongue out far enough to hit the cricket.

This is my schedule which works well for me (my veiled is about a year old now)

-

3-5 insects every other day

Monday - Calcium
Tuesday - No feeding
Wed - Calcium
Thursday - No feeding
Friday - Calcium
Saterday -No feeding OR Multivit 1st Saterday of month and 3rd Sat of month
Sunday - No supplimenting

My multi vit contains D3 etc.

Howdy David,

Among other things, chameleons do need phosphor, calcium, Vit D3 (D3 triggered by UVB and necessary for calcium uptake) etc. The problem is that our typically available feeders like crickets, superworms etc. all contain too much phosphor already so we don't want to add any more .
