Veiled + Shedding

i have had my sub adult male veiled for about a week and he is 100% healthy but even though his basking spot temps are perfect, he insists on hanging from the cage right under the 75watt repti bulb and the screen is hot as hell there. is that normal? maybe because he is shedding? he moves all over his cage and is very healthy it just concerns me that he might get burnt.

What is the exact temperature? Veileds like it about 88 - 90 degrees F.

his spots are all between 70-90 his lower spot being 70s and higher being 80s. he moves often between the uvb and heat and all around his cage i was just wondering if this is because he is shedding. humidity is perfect

Seems like you are doing a great job! That is great that he is active, that is no problem. He can move all around the cage, as long as you don't see anything abnormal.
