Veiled problem

I have a male veiled chameleon with a small area on the ridge of his spine that is white and dry. It looks like it is starting to crack (much like someone with very dry, cracked hands).Though at first I thought it was just shed but it seems to have progressed and in that area the ridge on his back has smoothed out. He is otherwise very healthy but I am concerned it might progress. Does this sound fungal? Thanks for the help.

He's 10 mo old. No history of any health problems. Good eater and supplement schedule. Large screen enclosure w/UVA, UVB lighting. 2 minute mist and drip set up. I'v had him since he was 1 month or so old.

I love it when a form is filled out and it looks fabulous! The only thing I will mention is that you need to make sure you up the supplementing by using a no D3 calcium 5-6 X weekly, one with D3 twice monthly, and a multivite once a month. Can you please take a picture of the chameleon?

Looks like the start of a typical shed to me. Are you concerned that he is losing the spines?

My main concern was it looked like a deeper crack was starting possibly going below surface layer..maybe I worry too much?

Nice looking guy have there! I love the contrast of his dark coloring. Where did you get him?

Probably is just shed...now that I re-read my first post I feel kinda silly "...area on the ridge of his spine that is white and dry. It looks like it is starting to crack (much like someone with very dry, cracked hands).Though at first I thought it was just shed but it seems to have progressed ..." duh! Just thought I should check with the community.

No need to feel silly-always better to ask and check things out if you think there is an issue! :)
