Veiled needs a friend?

Okay, so I'm new to the chameleon thing, and while I have done some research, I do have a specific question that I cannot find the answer to..
My veiled chameleon seems like he needs a female companion, but he's very territorial and doesn't like other things in his terrarium, would it be wise to get him a lady friend, and if so, does it need to be a veiled female?

sorry if that's a stupid question, I just don't know ... He's about 10 months old I believe.

No, he does not need a female companion. In fact keeping a male and female together would be a VERY BAD idea. Chameleons are a solitary and territorial animal. The only time they tolerate another chameleon is during mating. He will be perfectly happy to live his life with nothing else in the cage with him.

Veileds do not need companions. If you housed a female with him permanently they would possibly breed, then stress would wear on the female because the male would relentless try to keep breeding her, and fight her for dominance of the territory.

Reptiles are not like mammals, they do not need friends and do not benefit from other creatures in their cage.

Do not put any other animals in the cage with him otherwise they will end up as food or a potential threat. I recommend reading some of the blogs on here rather than your other sources because most articles on this forum would first off state chameleons are solitary animals.
