Veiled levels...

I'm reviewing my husbandry after an upper resp tract infection of my female. I'm finding different caresheets saying different things unfortunately. Can you guys and girls comment on enclosure conditions for me please? I've just read one that says to avoid exposing them to humid conditions! I had thought it odd that a Saudi creature would need a high humidity enclosure being as it's hot and dry out there. Mind you... Geography was never my strong point lol
So specifically:- Spraying, how much? How often?

General humidity levels:- Is there a figure I want to aim for? I'm keeping it at sixty to eighty at the moment.

Heat:- Now my chams are getting quite big I think maybe I should be heating them a little more. I'm currently at mid to late eighties in the warm end and no less the eighty at the cool end. From what I read I should be looking at 95f at the warm end is that right?

My female is being treated for an infection at the moment so I really need to get this right....

Humidity can be really annoying. It doesn't have to stay a constant humidity for veileds. I lived in the same area that they come from, and it would be like 80% humidity in the morning and then 50% humidity in the afternoon. The humidity is supposed to go up and down.

i try to keep humidity up for all my chams but i would shoot for about 60 -80 %, as far as temps go i keep the highest hottest basking site at about 92 for my veiled.
as far as treating the infection, i usually add a ceramic heat emmiter ( no light )to chams that are not well to stop the nightime temp drop. i tyr to keep the top of the cage around 80 even at night with ill chams, as it helps their immune system.

So my humidity is actually about right then but my temps were a tad low. I had started at mid eighties in the warm end as my chams were pretty small when I first brought them home. Now they're starting to get some decent bulk to them I've (just now) put the heating up a little. I'll put it up a little again in the next day or so and then I'll be looking at early ninties in the warm end. I just took one of my fake plants out of the affexted females enclosure too. It had latex paint coming off it!! Crickey that's a lesson learned...
