**Vet appointment has been made! I just want advice, please*

A friend's veiled chameleon recently started having signs of MBD because he did not give it a UVB light. The chameleon is looking a lot better now that she has UVB on her but she is still having a little bit of a hard time climbing. He wants to rearrange her cage so that it is easier for her to climb but I think it would put too much stress on her and he should leave her be until the vet appointment.

What do you guys think?

I rescued bearded dragon with MBD so I understand the condition

How high up are her vines? If she falls at a distance she could break her brittle bones. If they are high up then I would suggest adjusting them to where she's not going to fall a large distance or fall on anything hard, maybe a towel at the bottom of her cage would give her a little cushion, just be extremely careful holding her, don't pull her little brittle legs off the vines, let her crawl onto you. It's good she's going to the vet though, mbd is definitely treatable but there's no way to completely cure it, which really sucks so bad:( I have a veiled with mbd also, I adopted him from petsmart with mbd already existing it's not bad though but I know how you feel. She needs lots of calcium and d3. This forum is a great place to get advice for chameleons, great place to figure out how to take care of your chameleon the right way, I'm new to this but I learned everything I know now from this site :D
Good Luck @ the vets office, I wish the best for your friends little girl:)

Thanks for your advice! The vet said she's not in good shape but she isn't so bad to where we can't dose her at home. I turned her cage to the side so that it isn't as tall and only put low branches in her cage. It's liquid calcium for her for a while! As far as eating goes, I put bugs in a container so that she can hunt easier but she's still having trouble. Is there any kind of baby food I could feed her? That is what I did with my bearded dragon but as far as I know, chameleons only eat bugs, right?

Veiled chameleons will eat all kinds of fruits and veggies. It depends on the chameleon as to which ones they like though. Ender (my veiled) loves raspberries and grapes.

I'm not sure about the baby food though

Good!! I hope she gets better!! I'm not sure about the baby food, maybe someone else could answer that. Will she hand feed? Maybe dust her food with powdered calcium and hand feed her. Good luck, I'm sure she'll get better with time as long as she's getting what she needs..
