Veiled Eye

I noticed today that my veiled chameleon's eyes look a little different than their usual selves. I'm not sure whether there's an extra bulge here, or his eyes are less bulgey than the usual, it's hard to tell. Other than this, he is acting normally, though I know they are one of those animals that will hide illness. I thought I'd post to ask if you guys think I should be getting a vet appointment or first get some repta-aid/pedialyte.

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - approx. 1 year 4month, veiled male, been in my care for one year
Handling - only if he is not stressed by my presence, when cleaning and sometimes every few days
Feeding - he usually gets 12 crickets or five superworms every other day, am now giving three or four hornworms and will use supers less often, will start trying calciworms (he was scared of them as a baby), gutload is usually kale/dandelion greens (just learned that kale may be high in oxalates so I will use less often), raspberries, blueberries, zucchini, squash, spirulina algae, sometimes a small amount of apple
Supplements - calcium w/o D3 most feedings(ZooMed Repti Calcium phos.free), calcium w/D3 once every other week(Flukers phos.free), multivitamin once every other week(Rep-Cal Herptivite with beta carotene)
Watering - small dripper filled twice a day, misted using pressure sprayer for around two minutes two or three times a day depending on humidity, used to see drinking more often
Fecal Description - usually white urate, brown-black poop, but most recent has small yellow bit
History - he has had no other major problems

Cage Info:
Cage Type - aluminum screen, 24x24x48
Lighting - reptiglo 5.0 tube (no reptisuns in area, will start ordering if you think it will make a difference), exo terra spot basking bulb 50w, on around sunrise, off around sunset
Temperature - basking area is around 84 degrees, bottom is 75, lowest night temp. is 67, digital strip thermometer/hydrometer used
Humidity - humidity gets to around 75% during misting, down to 50%, maintained by live plants and shower curtain on two sides of cage
Plants - two schefflera, one pothos
Placement - cage is in back room, I am the only living thing besides bugs that gets in, fan is never turned on, air vent is on other side of room, cage sits on ground so I can open the window for real sunlight on warm days
Location - NW Ohio

they look kinda buldgy to me :( i saw a forum on what MBD looks like. and thats what it looks like. i could be compleatly wrong. i hope i am.

Your set up and husbandry seem fine, so not thinking that that is causing any issues. The pic is not the best though. Could you take another?. I have seen some pics of bulgy eyes with MBD, I am sure that is not the case, as you have been providing correct supplements and UVB. It wouldnt hurt to post a full body pic also if you would. As far as the reptisun, it is said to be the superior bulb but don't think it is going to make that big of a difference There was an experiment done on the reptisun versus the reptiglo. The reptisun does give off a better emittance of UVB, but nothing earth shattering. One of our members, Ace had an issue with the eyes looking bulgy. I know he started keeping his chameleon outdoors more and I think it helped getting the natural UVB. You could pm him and ask him what the outcome was on that or maybe he will see this thread and respond. Good luck and I hope you can figure out what is wrong(if anything)

Yeah, sorry I didn't get a better picture for you. I was in a rush to get the question up before work. Here are some better ones, showing the limbs just in case.

Lynda I cannot remember the post but I think it was Julirs that has that cham that had the horrible MBD. His eyes were really bulgy. I could be wrong though! I know that is not usually a characteristic of MBD. I just recall seeing that. Lynda here is the link https://www.chameleonforums.com/what-mbd-looks-like-38000/

Honestly, from the pics, I don't think the eyes look abnormal. Maybe a little extra skin showing in the first pic JMO! I think sometiimes we worry too much!

Haha, well thank you. I'd rather hear that I'm worrying too much than that there's a problem. :p I did it once before with a little white dot on his chin that was gone the next day after a shed.

I needed this today. He's my baby.

I would love to keep him outside until it gets too cold, but the weather up here has been too unpredictable. For a while our temperature was in the high 90s and even got above a hundred. Now we're getting storms. He's also afraid of the cars driving by.

Even if you could just get him outside for an hour or two for some natural sunshine would be good. I live in Fla and it is very hot and humid everyday. I get my cham outside for atleast two hours a day or more. I just constantly check on him and make sure he is not overheating. I Run a dripper in his cage and mist him with cool water every so often and he seems fine.
