There isn't really a specific point to this thread.

Congrats on coming here before you bought a chameleon though! Flchams is a bit pricy, but they're excellent!

You pay for good quality, you get good quality.

if your going to FL, get a young one! maybe i just had bad luck wtb them, but all the juvies i bought from them HATE me ):

Although I didn't get my veiled from FL, I did get him when he was a month or so old,(pic in my avatar) and he still HATES me.
His pissy attitude has grown on me though!

I got some high-end translucents from FL a while ago as a gift. They are a bit pricy, but you know you are getting them from a trust worthy source and you are getting quality genetics. Typically, I buy from Screameleons or Fl chams or some other sponsors so I know I am getting quality genetics. This is important to me because I breed my chams and I want specific qualities out of them. There are plenty of quality breeders out there that are not sponsors on this forum. Any one can be a sponsor on this forum, you just have to pay the fees necessary keep in mind. You can also check out Kingsnake and faunaclassifieds.

interesting to heare about these pissy vields!...i have a 6month male(had him for 3 months) he has never once tried to bite or hiss at me...nor does be get stressed during handleing...no puffyness or dark colors...guess i got lucky

Any kind of handling stresses the chameleon out, some are just more tolerant of it.

Remember that even though it is more tolerant of handling it shouldn't be forced onto the chameleon. Try to only handle it once a week for a check or when it voluntarily crawls out onto you.

Yeah same here lol but i'm guessing it's because she knows i'm helping her. She even stays still when I have to give her fluid injections, which i'd be kicking and screaming about if it was me :p the only pissyness I get out of her is when I feed her. She does not like crickets but I make her eat them. Sometimes she'll hold it in her mouth and I think she's going to swallow it so I put her back in her house and she spits it out LOL. But she seems to like being handled more than being alone in her house. She runs back to my hand like "No don't leave me!" I feel so bad =P

Same here expect after a few minutes or so he gets alittle brown in him but no puffyness, no hissing, no biting.
