Veiled chameleon urgent advice needed!

I have been away for a few weeks and my veiled chameleon was left in the care of my housemate, who fed and misted him every day for me.

When I left, he had a bit of stuck shed on his nose. Now, the scales on his nose appear to have been rubbed off, showing pink skin underneath. There are black patches, and a bit of bleeding.

I have called the vet and they don't have any appointments available until Monday! I'm really worried. Has anyone heard of this before??

He does seem to be his normal self. He is active and still puffs up and hisses when I put my hand in his tank (as he always has). He is eating, drinking and pooing as normal.

Could you post some pictures, ask your house mate if he ever feeled the skin off himself because that could be why. You should never peel shedding off manually.

My housemate is in bed right now, I will ask him if he peeled it or not.

I'd say wait for the vets opinion and some other people can help. Also, I recommend you don't handle him like that, I get the pic may be hard to take but they can be very sensitive to people.
