Veiled chameleon sleeping during the day!?!

Okay, I have a 2 year old male veiled chameleon and he just recently started sleeping during the day, but isn't doing it all the time only on and off. Hes eating/drinking and still has a lot of spunk when he is awake. I am worried that he might be sick or something. At night I make sure all lights are off besides his night heat bulb because it gets moderately chilly in the house when the outside temp drops. During the day when its really sunny I will put his cage near the window so he can get some natural lighting. If anyone has some advice i'd greatly appreciate it. Also could his sleeping during the day be caused by a season change?

Thanks,
Kaitlyn

From what I've read on the forums any type of light should not be used at night. If it gets to cold you could use a ceramic heat emitter.

No lights at night.

they can tolerate temps down to the low 50's at night.

that could be why hes sleeping during the day, but he could also be sick.

try turning ALL lights off at night and after a few days see how he does.

is the chameleon sleeping at any time of day, or just near the end of the day?

as previously stated, better to keep the room the cham is at the minimum temp (62F) and not use a night light.

light passing through a window provides no uvb benefit, btw
