So my girl ivy is 20 days in from last mating, just wonder what is typical in you guys experience? Everywhere I read says 20-30 days. She is getting pretty swollen but still eating everything I give her. I haven’t seen her digging yet or anything out of her normal behavior.

Thanks Bill

IMHO it's usually closer to 30 days.
Can you post a recent photo of her please?
Wha to you have for a lay bin? Size? What substrate?

She is digging right now! She is in a large exo tera paludarium with 10 inches of wet play sand mixed with soil. I made sure it tunneled fine. I also have all sides covered so she has privacy. This setup has everything she needs and I felt it was better to go this route verses a 5gal bucket. She lives in a free range normally, this is temporary until I build another enclosure. The free range had uvb and everything else she needs.

She was just practicing her digging I guess because she dug this hole halfway to the bottom and then stoped. Not at all concerned because she is only 21 days in. She definitely was not disturbed while digging. This is her first clutch, (and mine) is it common behavior to dig early practice holes? I have included a couple pics of her this morning. Also I fed her and she smashed her crickets is the same rapid fire fashion she usually does.

Thanks Bill

You may want to loosely cover the visible sides of her enclosure to ensure her privacy. Just make sure to leave plenty of space for ventilation.

I have a computer fan on top hooked to a humidity controller so ventilation isn’t a concern. All sides are covered and front has bottom half covered. Left the top half of front uncovered so I can peek around the corner and see if she is basking or on the bottom.

Today she wasn’t interested in food and has been moving around restlessly. Today is day 26 from when she first displayed gravid colors.
