Veiled Chameleon Not Laying Eggs

Hello all, I am new to the forum and am hoping somebody can help me out. I have a veiled chameleon around 1 year and 3 months old. She has laid eggs twice and is ready to lay again. Before I never had too much trouble getting her to lay, but this time she isn't wanting to. Typically I have a trash can set up and full of substrate that I moisten and make sure is firm enough to lay in, then I take her out of her set up and place her in the bin, leaving her alone until she is done laying. This time when we tried to put her in the bin she got so upset that she started biting the substrate and choked on it. We actually had to clean her mouth out with a baby spoon and rinse it out to get her breathing again. She seems to be doing ok since but she wont lay. Obviously this was not a fun experience for us or her and no I have a bin in the bottom of her cage as I do not want to try to put her in the trash can again. I am not sure why she acted this way this time but she has not laid and I am worry she will become egg bound...Any advice or help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums. I have a female veiled that couldn't lay her eggs and she had to have surgery after the oxytocin was used for three days and didn't work. A vet visit and oxytocin might be in order at this point. Please post some photos of her.
