Veiled Chameleon not crapping

Chameleon Info:

Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
Veiled cham, male, about 9 months old, been with me for like 3 months

Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
Daily

Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
I feed him 3-5 crickets a day. I don't gut load the crickets, I feed it twice a month half a gram of nekton rep D3 with a syringe, and almost daily give it zoomed calcium also with a syringe.

Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?

Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
Dripper, fogger, and separate humidifier additionally I give him about 6-8ml of water a day with a syringe.

Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
Not tested for parasites, dark brown/black slimy turds with white ureates.

History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.


Cage Info:

Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
100x100x60cm, glass and screen combo

Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
Arcadia flourescent tube UVA/UVB 6%, and exoterra 75W lamp for heat. Lights on 08:00, lights off 21:00

Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
26-37 degrees, thermometer


Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
Humity 50-60% maintained by fogger and humidifier

Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
Ficus tree

Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
Location - Where are you geographically located?

Current Problem: I fed my Veiled cham one locust on monday, and another locust on tuesday, and after that he hasn't crapped. Today I gave him two crickets that were soaked with parafin oil, but he still isn't crapping. He seems to still have a normal apetite, and I am now feeding him slightly less, cos he seems to be bulging.

Anyone else had a similar problem?

If he still has moss in the cage, he may have become impacted from eating it and I'm fairly certain that requires a vet --maybe surgery.

I have a 5 year old and 5 month old male veiled. I don't think it's unusual to go a few days between poops as they get older. My young veiled poops every day or every other day, but my adult goes less often.

You should be gut-loaded the insects you're feeding your cham, and just curious, why are you giving supplements and water via a syringe? You only need to dust the supplements onto the feeders and if you are misting and have a dripper, there should be more than enough water in the enclosure for him to drink as he needs it. Force feeding with a syringe is very stressful to a cham and should only be done for emergency support when they are too sick to eat on their own.

I am not force feeding him with a syringe. What I do is stick the syringe near to his head, and let one drop come out. After he sees the first drop come out, he comes next to it and licks up the drops that come out of the syringe, and he drinks up like 2-3 syringes that are 2,5ml.

I do this cos the powdered calcium and d3 dont stick to the crickets properly, even when the crickets are wet. I find the syringe method more effective and less wasteful. I don't like gutloading cos I don't like to stick the crickets with needles, if I can end up with the same result some other way.

Gutloading is simply feeding the crickets healthy food so they have a belly full of goodness when the chameleon gets his eat on. This is an english word that I have only encountered in the reptile keeping hobby.

Also, you only need a very small amount of calcium powder on the crickets. It is good to dust the crickets, because without the dust, the calcium/phosphorus balance is all out of whack (too high in phos).

Also, I would wait a couple more days to worry about impaction. Their pooping slows down with age as stated before. I would take the moss out though, to prevent possible impaction in the future.

Haven't had moss in the cage for over a month.

My cham finally pushed out something, but it wasn't solid. When I came home, I found a puddle of goo on the bottom of his cage, and a white/orange ureate stick, but no turds in sight.

Aren't they always supposed to come out together?

My girls usually comes out seperate so I wouldn't worry about that. Also it's normal for the urates to be a bit off colour if they haven't pooped for a little while. One bad poop is ok but go see a vet if it continues IMO.
