Veiled Chameleon cost

Hmm... My Cham will NEVER get a roach... Gross :(((
Dubia roaches are actually one of if not the best feeder you can give to your cham...

They are clean, can't fly, can't climb, and are super hardy. Not really that gross at all...
Thanks for all the help guys!

I think what I'm going to do is build my own cage, it will cost a lot less and I will have fun doing so. I will build it around L=3' W=3' H=5'-6' so there is plenty of room. Maybe add a small border at the bottom while he is young so the cage isn't too big.

Also I live around an hour for any pet store so I can't drop by every day.. And the petsmart where I live is unlike any others, They have the baby chameleon in a medium-small sized screen cage with proper heat/humidity, there is only one petsmart in the province I live in and they are amazing. They make sure you are going to take care of your animal before they sell it to you. unlike pets unlimited, they don't care for anything..

I wanted to ask as well If meal worms is a good diet for a chameleon with a variety of other insects, It is really difficult to keep crickets alive and its and hour drive to get more. Meal/wax/super worms is what I feed my other reptiles with crickets and wax worms as treat once in a while. They also don't sell roaches where I live..

Also I heard Chameleons could eat veggies and like to nibble on live plants in there cage, I was wondering what kind of veggies are safe to feed and what kind of plants are safe to have in the cage.

Thanks for all the info guys, appreciate it!
Mealworms should make up no more than 15% of your cham's diet.

Some good greens to feed your cham are: collard greens, mustard greens, dandelion greens, kale, and romaine. There are of course more--look around for healthy greens for your cham.

If it's that long a drive you could try breeding crickets or meal worms. I started meal worm breeding yesterday. You can feed romaine lettuce, spring greens, carrots and apples (sliced thin), and mango. The cage you plan on making is too big for a baby. They can eat plant vegetation. Some good cage plants are hibiscus, pothos, ficus, and a lot more. Check out some safe plant lists on flchams or something. Mealworms aren't the greatest staple, crickets are good. Mealworms have chitin so do super worms, so don't over feed, plus super worms are too large for a baby. Order some locusts or dubia roaches online. Dubias breed like mad. There are some good videos on YouTube. They love silkworms, but don't give too many. If you can get them. They can have one pinky mouse a year when they are adults. And I want to hug the people that care for the chams at your petsmart. America's petsmarts suck

If you get dubias you should breed them. Healthier than crix and if you breed them you never have to buy more. Plus no smell, no flying roaches, the can't climb a plastic tub so they'll never be running around your house.

Are you still looking?

I actually have a young adult male for sale. I'm planning on breeding leos and i need the money. I live near Tulsa if you're anywhere close.:):)
