Veiled Chameleon Colors

Ok i know that colors mean alot of things with chameleons but my question is what does it mean when they turn a lighter color when you are holding them? I found a veiled chameleon at a store that i am wanting to buy and she doesnt seem to mind being held but she changes lighter green when we held her, but she was climbing all over us and wasnt showing any stress or agression signs.. Is her changeing a lighter color bad or is it ok.. Also if she is not seeming stressed or aggressive is it ok to hold her? I would really appreciatre some help

Lighter generally means calmer or warmer- I expect this is a baby?

Ozzie gets very light ....almost florescent green with his patterns when I hold him so it is normal.

Ok, so on a Panther bright colors are a sign of stress and are used to intimidate, but on Veileds, it means that they are tolerating being in your presence well (I guess that makes sense, as Panther's colors could look much more intimidating)? When I hold either of my Veileds, they don't puff up, just turn a nice bright green (well the male shows some patterns, as he is getting older).

So, how about spots and dark colors when they are on the ground or on furniture? I'm guessing stress, I just find it odd that any tree or branch is fine, but if they are on the ground, or taller furniture (like the back of my couch), they get these colors.
