I have owned Kenobi, My male (I think) Yemen Cham for 2 years and occasionally he displays colours that I don’t quite understand.
He shows very vibrant yellow and Green with dark brown rings round the yellow with vibrant green spots in the yellow and darker colouration on his face, any ideas?
I will attach a recent photo.

Welcome to the forum. That is 100% a male. He is reacting to something he sees... If you can post a few pics of him without the glass reflection. I would love to take a look at that front left foot and his casque and cheek pads.

Hey! Thanks for the reply!

So all of the coloration you are seeing is normal for a male veiled. If you would like to do a full husbandry review just to make sure all the information you got initially was correct we would be happy to do one with you. Just let me know and I can post the form.

Per his overall look he is holding some extra weight in the casque and cheek pads. This can be harmful for chameleons because the more overweight they are the more risk of organ function issues.

He’s a beautiful guy. Welcome to the forum. Everyone is here to help each other with our chams. Beman has a great eye and great info with lots of experience so listen to her.

I’d love to do a husbandry review, it’s always best to make sure he’s getting the best care!
I’ll definitely cut down on some of the fattier feed, he just loves the wax worms as a treat 😂
