You’ll get through it. Start thinking about how these things could’ve happened and how you could prevent them. Ask the forum for advice and change your setup. Buy a HEALTHY chameleon and continue giving it the life it deserves.

So, in the wake of this loss it is time to grow stronger and be better for it. First off, start by reading all the guides and resources on this site. There are a lot and they will give you a solid foundation. Keep visiting the forums, researching, and learning. This isn’t the only resource out there either. The reddit forum sidebar also has very useful info but the mods and community are much more unfriendly than here. YouTube has good resources as well.

Don’t give up. Just take a step back. Read everything you can get your hands on. Make sure your setup is perfect and you have everything up and going for at least a month before getting a healthy chameleon from a reputable breeder on this site. You’ll need proper enclosure, lights, dripper, supplements, and insect colonies before getting another Cham.

If you are crying you cared. That’s what it takes to be a good owner. Care enough to take the time to research well.
