yeah im back big woop you want to fight about it?!?

The News
For the Past 5 months and a half, I had 70 eggs from my Female. So I spent my time in watching these little guys untill the day they hatched. And now that time has come, I have a about 53 babys and comeing.

They started to hatch on the last day of February, at first there was 10 then more, and kept on coming till today.

The setup
There in a 10gal glass tank, with a small pothes pant and a few twigs. They also have a the 5.0 UVB and a 70 watt basking, its raining in my area so it gets cold here. I spary them many times a day for it to be nessary

So Far I have seen them drink water, no eating. Im not sure if there eating behind my back but I watch them so closely. theres fruit flys in there and plenty of them.

My question to you,
what do you think
and when do they start eating
and or whats an easer way to feed them

thank you thank you.

Many possible reasons.

Sometimes it takes a day or so before they eat - while they absorb the last of their egg sack. I think this is most probable, if its not been long since hatching

Perhaps they are crowded
Perhaps their are too many fruit flies to choose from
perhaps their temp isnt right
perhaps they dont like being watched

seems about right, but how am I going to know if they eat or not. Ya know?
the temp is fine, I kinda feel little hoter then its got to be

But of course I leave them alone, I dont press my face aganst the glass and say oooOOOooo! haha JK SMILE

but thanks.

for some reason I cant download my pictures when i send them.
ima keep on lookin in this

thank you

Anyone else?!

Check that out-If all of those hatch out and survive-which all but one of mine did-get ready for the biggest job of your life. You will need to separate them into 4 containers, I did 3 but ended up with some leg nips and breaks due to overcrowding-and that was with 55 quart plastic totes from WalMart that I stretched a 48" Reptisun 5.0 over. Fruit flies are pointless-they are a good addition but get them on large pinheads ASAP-GET READY FOR THE EXPENSE OF 2-3000 CRICKETS A WEEK! You will be changing paper towels and washing the poop off of the plastic plants every other day at least!
Then you get to find homes for all of them, and deal with shipping. Mine sold well in part due to the fact that I can ship super cheaply, but it really does cost $50.00 once you add up the styrofoam lined boxes and heat/cold packs, and drive time to and from dropping them off at UPS or wherever. I started a new job the day these guys started hatching, and I could not have done it without the help of my hubby and 20 year old daughter-it took MASS amounts of time to take care of them, and mass amounts of $. Good luck!

I also forgot where you live, but I kept a 60 watt bulb over one end of the totes-the totes were much bigger than a 10 gallon tank-to keep the temps at 80 on one side. A 10 gallon truly has no air flow and with the moisture from misting and pooping--if the temps get too hot you will have babies with URI quickly.

If I dumped in 200-300 Pins-30 baby chams would down them in a matter of minutes. You will KNOW if they are eating. Oh wait until you see the poop!

Spooge, i would start with 1/8 inch crickets and if you feed them well they'll be ready for 1/4 in a couple of weeks. Pinheads are way to small. Juli hit it on the nose. A 10 gallon tank is way to small for these guys. I would get 4 or 5 large rubbermaid bins if cost is an issue. they are cheaper than the glass tanks, and 3 times the size.
