Where and how did you manage to get a tenrec? I've wanted one for so many years. Is thier care comparable to hedgehogs(had one for many years and it was a pleasure)?

I got him from a breeder not too far from me (Im in the UK)

he has a 3ft x 2 ft x1.5ft viv with orchid bark substrate and loads of cork bark + tubes, branches and fake plants. They can climb really well and once you own one they have loads of unusual behaviours lol

I feed him a base of a mix of cat biscuits plus suppliments of various cooked meats, veg and especially insects. I also gave him a plastic box full of shredded cardboard which I add mealworms etc to so he can have a forage. I release crix and locust to his viv and its very funny watching him hunt them
