uvb uva lighting

i know it's required to put UVB on cham cages. is it required to have both uva and uvb? and how many hours a day should i turn it on? is it required to turn it on 12hours a day?

you need a uvb bulb, reptiglo or reptisun 5.0
and a regular house bulb for basking.

12 horus on, 12 hours off.
and total darkness to sleep.

As far as I know, UVA has no particular effect, and is not harmful, or needed.

i belive uva is the typical visible light spetrum. it would be produced by your basking light as long as you are not using a infared or ceramic heat emmiter ( not really reccomended anyway )
