so i was at this pet store when this guy came up to me when i asked the why they don't have 5.0 uvb and he comes off telling me that they are dangerous for chams and reptiles cause they put off way to much glow for the guy and procedes to try and sell me a light bulb. not complaining but i had a light bulb before and part of the light went out and i was not happy with them at all. has anyone else heard about the uvb tube putting out dangerous lights??? i really wanted to tell this guy to shut up and say imo he was just talking out his butt cause he came off like the type of dude that thinks he knows everything and i don't and i have years of experience and the owner of the store is one of my future customers for when i start breeding my chams.

it is the CFLs (spiral bulbs) that were issues in the past. the fluorescent tubes are and what is most recommended, last longer and is guaranteed safer for the animal.

imho, i would ask to do a special order, or tell him that you are not going to get anymore supplies there unless he satisfies the customer. if he gives you a tough break, order from one of our sponsors! cant afford it or dont want to spend your money online? then win a photo contest! :)

yeah i hear you on that usually i deal with the owner herself and she hooks me up with the price they pay for their products and in return when i have babies available i'll hook them up when i have them. he was just some kid that thinks he knows everything you know. but besides that i do need to get a new tube for my male nosey be cause he is right now chilling with his future little ladies bonnie and betty!!!
