UVB Lighting

In my female veils set up she has a uvb light and basking light. I noticed she will sometimes sit more in the uvb and more under the basking for heat of course. But do they know or detect uvb rays or lighting? Just trying to settle my own curiosities.

Yes I would say the light draws them as much as the heat after all the sun throws off light. That's why I always try to get the UVB bulb as close to the basking light as possible. They have a God given way of instinctually knowing what they need for the most part, and it's our job to see they get it. Hope I answered your question.
